This website gives details of the concerts sponsored by the Malvern Concert Club. The concerts are held in the Forum hall of the Malvern Festival Theatre complex in Great Malvern.
We invite you to attend one or more of a series of international standard classical chamber music concerts, and hopefully become members of our club, which will enable you to attend the concerts at a reduces price and to have a say in the shape of future programmes.
Our Aim
The Concert Club exists to provide the best of chamber music
at reasonable prices, in the comfortable surroundings of Malvern Theatres; to
the large audiences that we often attract. We arrange a varied programme of the
best of renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic and some contemporary music,
in fact the best
of all ages.
We engage established artists of world renown and try to keep an even mix of
British and Overseas ensembles. We pride ourselves on the high standard of our
concerts which reach very large audiences.
The club, originally founded by Sir Edward Elgar, has been presenting chamber music concerts in Malvern for over a hundred years in an un-broken sequence. We strongly recommend any one with easy access to Malvern and an interest in classical music to become a member of our club and enjoy our concerts.
We perform all of our concerts at the Malvern Festival Theatres, so you can turn up on the night and trust to luck, but beware, our concerts sometimes sell every ticket, even in the huge Forum Theatre hall. All seats are un-reserved. We advise you to pre-book, using the contact information given below.
A.G.M. It is
not long since our last AGM (July) but as the next has been arranged, and is a
little earlier in the year, we ask you to put it into diaries – Thurs. 25 June
2009 at 7 30 pm at the Elgar Birthplace Museum. As usual the evening will include music and refreshments.
