AGM
2010
This was held on Thursday 1 July 2010 at 7 30pm in the Carice Room at the Elgar Birthplace Museum, Lower Broadheath. Over 40 members were present to hear reports about the successful 2009-10 season and prospects for 2010-11. The AGM formally approved the revised constitution that had recently been circulated to all members. All members were urged to do all they could to recruit more people to join the Club and also to purchase tickets for single concerts. The principal Officers were all re-elected with the Assistant Secretary post renamed as Publicity and Marketing Officer and the Membership Secretary being designated as an Officer. The formal business was followed by a short recital with works by Beethoven, Schumann and Kreisler excellently played by Caroline Pether violin, with James Vaughan, piano. Caroline was the winner of the Chandos Young Musician competition in 2008, and will be playing the Walton Concerto with Chandos on 12 September at Malvern Forum. The date of the 2011 AGM will be noted here as soon as it is decided. |
